Thanks to the efforts of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland, cleanup works were carried out at the Jewish cemetery in Izbica. During the works grass and shrubs were moved in the central part of the cemetery and in the vicinity of the ohel of the Tzaddik Mordechai Josef Leiner.

Since 2006 the Foundation is realizing a project of commemoration of the Jewish cemetery in Izbica. Within its framework a monument to the Jewish community of Izbica was unveiled in November 2006. The monument was funded by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in cooperation with the Foundation.
