linia 2009-10-05 MUROWANA GOSLINA

We are very proud to inform you that the students from Murowana Goslina, led by their teacher Jakub Niewinski, are carrying out the ‘Stones of Memory Roots’ project. Since 2006 the youngsters cooperate with Jewish Community in Poznan and participate in ‘To Bring Memory Back’ program, led by the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. This year they decided to continue their work in cooperation with Israeli youth from Rishon Le Zion. Together they will follow the path of life and Holocaust-related tragic death of a Jewish family from Murowana Goslina named Markowicze. By engaging themselves in various activities, both Polish and Israeli students want to ‘leave a message that a common past is a chance to build a common future of Europe, in which the memory of Jews will never be erased’.
